The Fluid Power Association of VDMA with its Fluid
Power Sealing Group
is organizing the
16th ISC
International Sealing Conference
on October 12-13, 2010 at the University of Stuttgart. The Conference
will be held under the scientific auspices of Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil.
Werner Haas of the Institute of Machine Components of the University
of Stuttgart.
The motto for the Conference will be
Sealing Systems –
Cutting Edge Technology in the Smallest Envelope
Sealing Systems have a significant impact on both, the functionality and
the safety of complex systems, as well as on their environmental friendliness.
The aim of this conference is to present the results of scientific research,
results of development and experiences of users, and to allow for transferring
this information to, and sharing it with
- scientific institutions,
- manufacturers/suppliers of seals and sealing systems,
- users (manufacturers of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components,
machinery, automobile and plant manufacturers, but also automotive industry
suppliers, aerospace and chemical industry),
- manufacturers of preliminary products for sealing materials,
- manufacturers of hydraulic fluids and lubricants, and
- service providers, such as testing labs and engineering offices.
At the 16th ISC – International Sealing
Conference presentations on the following topics are requested:
- Static Seals
- Rotary Shaft Seals
- Reciprocating Seals (Hydraulics/Pneumatics)
- Basics of Sealing Technology
- Materials and Surfaces
- Energy conservation/Friction/Wear
- Simulation
- Standardization/Patents/Laws/Test Procedures
- Applications in Practice
